The potential for outreach via facebook is immense and the teams made great use of this powerful tool to spread the project information to a large audience. The teams wrote interesting articles, took photos, produced videos and placed content on other relevant facebook pages.
This has resulted in 10,670 individual unique people who have seen any content associated with the SMACS facebook page since August 2013 (source – facebook page insights). Of these, 985 engaged with the Page. Engagement includes any click or story created. This is massive outreach, and an excellent result for the large amount of work put into planning, creating and maintaining the page.
